Rockpool kayaks are probably best known for the iconic Taran series (i.e. Taran (18), Taran 16 and Tarantella). This series of kayaks is built for speed and efficiency over long distances, whilst catering for paddlers of differing size. Whether it's the record breaking big Taran (18), the Taran 16 or the lower volume Tarantella, the flat planing hull design jumps onto even small waves easily making downwinders a lot of fun. The designers and craftsman at Rebel excel in traditional Greenland style kayaks. The Illaga is a lower volume Greenland style kayak for the lighter paddler whereas larger paddlers will appreciate the slightly higher foredeck and greater freeboard of the Husky. The Greenland T is the kayak for intermediate sized paddlers and it's pedigree is long established. Valley kayaks offer proven designs with reliable handling for all conditions. Each model has a distinct character—we'll help you find your match. Whilst the lineup still contains old favourites such as the Etain 17.5, their flagship expedition hull, some of the names will sound new to Australian paddlers since these new models are updated designs of boats that you are probably more familiar with such as the Valley Gemini (replace by the Genesis) or the Valley Avocet (replaced by the Sirona). So check out the YouTube video explaining the range and call us if you have questions.
